Coffee production: Cameroonian production continues to drop off

Annual trade Coffee balance sheet: - period 2015 to 2016

 Cameroon national cocoa and coffee board has published the annual trade coffee balance sheet for the period 2015-2016. The drop of the production is a real preoccupation for cocoa and coffee authorities.

 The production marketed is recorded at 24 500, 448 tons. The stock marketed includes the volume of products exported and coffee beans manufactured locally. On the whole, Cameroon exported 27 680 tons while taking into account the volumes of products in stock at the end of the campaign 2014-2015.

The local factories have only transformed 3786 tons. On the market, Robusta coffees and Arabica don't have the same value bargains. The Robusta essentially cultivated on the high plateau of North west saw its price fluctuated between 462 FCFA/kg and 587 FCFA/kg.

25 111 tons of Robusta have been exported. The Arabica coffee as for it, had see its price fluctuated between 900 FCFA/kg and 975 FCFA/kg. But the volume of the transactions achieved to the export is only of 2569 tons. 

The coffee Robusta has been exported toward 15 countries in head of which you have France with 22,48%, followed by Italy with 20,52% and Portugal with 18,06%. The Arabica coffee is especially exported toward Germany (27%), Russia (26,70%) and Belgium (19%).
